Frequently asked questions

Where do you travel to?

We travel to homes, schools, kindys and childcare centres throughout the western suburbs of Brisbane, out to the Springfield area.  Some of the suburbs we cover include Kenmore, Chapel Hill, Indooroopilly, Jindalee, Oxley, Forest Lake, Inala, Goodna, Springfield, Springfield Lakes, Augustine Heights, Bellbird Park, Collingwood Park and Redbank Plains.

Paediatric occupational therapists (OTs) help children build the skills they need for everyday life— from self-care such as eating, using the toilet and dressing, to school participation, learning and play.  OTs support your child to participate in daily activities they want or need to do.  This may include individual sessions with your child to understand their strengths and challenges, working with you to problem-solve strategies, and collaborating with other people in your child’s life like their teacher, paediatrician, and other allied health professionals.

Yes — we’re fully mobile across Brisbane’s western suburbs and Greater Springfield, supporting children in their own environment- at home, school, childcare or kindy.

Yes, we support both NDIS-funded and private families.

Yes, we accept care plans from your GP or paediatrician.  This entitles your child to a certain number of Medicare subsidised sessions depending on the care plan type.  Please visit your GP or Paediatrician to determine eligibility ahead of our first session.  You can email us the referral, or your GP/Paediatrician can email us directly.

We’ll discuss this with you after the initial session. We usually work with children and their families weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your child’s current needs.  We aim to empower you, so that you need us less over time.
